We trace our origins back to G2K—a pioneering enterprise AI platform founded and built from the ground up by Karsten Neugebauer and Omar El Gohary.
Karsten and Omar started G2K with a clear ambition: to build meaningful, scalable technology with real-world applications. Over the years, they grew the company from an early-stage venture into an international organization—navigating product-market fit, enterprise sales, hiring, and global expansion.
With its acquisition by ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) in 2023, G2K became one of the rare deals in German history to go from startup to the NYSE—and the largest AI-related exit in Germany at the time.
From Builders to Backers.
Through G2K, we learned what it truly takes to build tech companies that last: disciplined execution, technical depth, customer relevance, and the ability to scale under real-world constraints. Magnat was founded to bring that experience to the next generation of founders.
Along the way, Karsten and Omar assembled a small, high-trust group of operators, technologists, investors, and MVPs—people they had worked with, built alongside, and trusted over many years.
